The West Peculiar Fire Protection District provides many services related to Fire Prevention. These services include Fire Code Enforcement, Fire Prevention Inspections, Fire Investigations and Fire Prevention Education. 

The following are some common frequently asked questions as well as additional information.

Download the following permit: MO DNR / WPFPD Burn Permit  After completing, bring permit to our office and we will process the permit for submittal to Missouri DNR. Our process involves completion of permit, inspection of burn pile and investigation into any further code issues. Permit will be forwarded to Mo DNR within 48 hours for them to further process. No burning is to commence until owner has signed permit from Mo DNR in possession. Requirements for burning are strictly enforced, no compliance or causing a nuisance can be cause for revocation or extinguishment of burning. 

Our process is to provide a home owner with information to allow them to do a self-administered inspection that provides them with valuable prevention knowledge. We will also come over and do Smoke Detector test and assist with installation. If you are interested please contact us at WPFPD

You can request a fire report by contacting our Office. We will prepare the report and have it available for you to pick up after a 48 hour processing time. Reports are made available 7 days after the time of incident. Cost for a Fire Report is $3.00
